Hi, I'm Lorraine Hull, your LOCAL funeral celebrant...

how I will help you...

I will work with, and for, you to create a truly personal funeral or memorial ceremony to celebrate the life that was lived.  The ceremony will reflect the character and qualities of the person who has died and acknowledge, and give thanks for, the influence and impact on those that knew them.

I will meet with you to learn about the person that you are holding the service for and to discuss ceremony ideas and format.  If you prefer, or if it is more convenient for you, we can complete the preparation by telephone, email or video call.  Of course, we can include other people in the planning and within the ceremony itself, should you wish.

The only restriction is the time that has been allotted for the service.  Please note, that this is typically less than 30 minutes in local authority crematoria (consider requesting a 'double slot' , or an alternative venue, if you feel that this is too short)

Once I have put everything together, I will send you a draft script and you will be able to make any amendments that you wish.

I will provide as much support as you require to ensure that the ceremony captures the essence of the person who has died, and celebrates the life that they lived.

Where I work...

I am most often asked to conduct funeral and memorial ceremonies in Liverpool (Springwood & Anfield), West Lancashire (Burscough), Halton (Widnes), St Helens (including Greenacres) and Sefton (Thornton).

You may wish to consider holding the service at a community centre, a sports or social club, a hotel, or at home.  This is something that I have helped to make happen and I would be able to support and assist you; please get in touch to discuss further...

A few messages from families, following celebration of life ceremonies...

Thank you message for Lorraine Hull

...After the Monastery my Dad's first boss (at the Guardian North) came up to me to say he was astonished when you said at the end of the memorial service that you hadn't met Dad!

He thought you must have been a good family friend because of how well you spoke about him...

...You wove the narrative brilliantly around my eulogy and the Mum we love was remembered for all the right reasons and fabulously represented by your words.

We all thought, as one, in unison that it could not have gone any better and we will always be so grateful for your amazing contribution to Mum’s day...

PS: We got the win for Mum Lorraine and there she is on the big screen!

... There aren't enough words to express how grateful we are for the beautiful service you conducted for Claire, and for the kindness and support you gave us at the darkest time of our lives.

From start to finish the entire service was perfect.  You gave us everything we wanted from the service, and showed everyone the huge personality that Claire was.

We will always be grateful to you for being so caring, considerate and thoughtful.  You made a dreadful experience much easier...

More kind words from families & friends, following funeral ceremonies...

Celebration of Life Ceremony "Thank you so much for celebrating our wonderful Mum’s life for our family. From our first meeting to go through Mum’s history with you to your wonderful speech at her funeral, you worked with us in a kind & caring way. It was a very sad time for our family & you helped us to do our very best for our lovely Mum in describing the amazing person that she truly was. Your speech felt so personal & we felt that you really knew her. As a family we will always be very grateful for this & those who attended said it was beautiful, too”. Celebration of Life Ceremony "I just want to say thank you for the service you carried out for my father-in-law, everyone said what a beautiful send off it was.  All the family have expressed their thanks to you for making a difficult day into a beautiful day, your eulogy was very moving and felt extremely personal, it was as if you had known him." Non-religious Funeral Service "I just wanted to thank you so much for the service yesterday. I came into the funeral dreading it and wanting it to be over but by the end you had completely changed my perspective. I didn't want it to end I could have listened to you for the rest of the day. The service was perfect and has left us all feeling happy and at peace. It couldn't have been better in any way. I just wanted to express my thanks." Celebration of Life Ceremony "I just wanted to say a massive thank you for yesterday, you really helped make the day special and nan would have loved all the things you said. The service was put together so well, and I appreciate all your time in organising things with all the emails and changes, you made a very difficult task easy.  Thank you again." Private Humanist Funeral Service "I want to say a heartfelt thank you to you for conducting such a lovely service for my dear friend last Wednesday.  Your words were both beautiful and memorable.  I have to say I had concerns about adhering to H's wishes by keeping her death quiet until after her funeral, as I feel sure more would have liked to attend.  In the event, however, it was totally the right thing to do and the only people present were those who truly loved her.  At the end of the day I was left feeling that the whole funeral, though sad beyond words was intimate, personal and perfect in every respect.  B and I will be forever grateful to you for your help in enabling us both to feel that way, so thank you so much." Celebration of Life Ceremony "Words can not express our thanks to you. You gave him an extra special farewell. We were staggered  by the turn out for him. Thank you once again. Everybody has asked me about you and I have truly sang your praises. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts x  x" Civil Funeral Service "Thanks for giving my uncle a wonderful 'send off' on Tuesday! (It was nice of you to do the research about another lady who lived in Hamburg and her recollection of war ending. Who knows it could well have been the lady that my Uncle met - but we'll never know!)"
